This past June, the Brooklyn Area participated in The 24 Hours of Baseball playing the Brooklyn Cyclones Front Office for Charity.

The Cyclones introduced 24 Hours of Baseball last year – the front office staff played for 24 straight hours against 12 teams from Brooklyn to raise money for charity. This year was no exception and the Cyclones were raring to go.

The money raised this year (over $15,000) will go to Autism Speaks, HeartShare, and the New York-Penn League Charitable Foundation. 100% of all donations will be divided among those three charities.

You can read more about 24 here (http://www.brooklyncyclones.com/news/topstories/index.html?article_id=398) and here (http://thebrooklyncyclones.blogspot.com/2008/05/help-or-at-least-help-some-great-causes.html) if you'd like to make a donation.

Apple Metro had their own cheerleaders to support the team and there were some great coaching staff on hand as well as a very determined pitcher which all resulted in Applebees taking the game.

Yes, 9 other teams tired the Cyclones out but, Apple-Metro showed them how it’s done taking command of the game early on and never letting go. Check out some pix above. We can't wait to do it again next year !
